Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations since 1981. Concurrently, he serves as non-resident Ambassador of Kuwait to Cuba, Argentina and Mexico.

1978 - 1981
Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Republic of Yugoslavia. Simultaneouly, non-resident Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Hungarian People's Republic and the German Democratic Republic.

1975 - 1978
Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the People's Republic of China.

1973- 1975
First Secretary in the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Teheran, Iran.

1968-1973
Diplomat in the Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in Geneva.

1965 - 1968
Diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Kuwait.

- Member of the Kuwait delegation to the following World Summits under the auspices of   the United Nations; the Summit of the Child in New York (1990), the Earth Summit in Rio   de Janeiro (1992) and the Social Summit in Copenhagen on (1995) .

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Cultural Center of New York .(The Board consists of all the Permanent Representatives of the Islamic Countries, members of the United Nations).

- Decorated by the Government of Argentina and Yugoslavia.


ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Cairo, Egypt in 1965.

PERSONAL DATA:

- Mr. Abulhasan was born in Kuwait on 12 January 1943. He is married and has five   children.
